I'm just not sure what to say. Sadness has entered my heart again.

This isn't my own writing. This is from Gabe...

This is the hardest post I've ever written to this site. What do I need to put up here? The facts are in, and they aren't changing. Our beloved friend Mark Seiler is dead after taking his own life in a Massachusetts hotel room. There is so much to say, about all the things we shared, all the music he gave me and others. When I think back to all time I have spent with him, in class, at clubs, traveling, making music, making video, and 1,000 other things, that what I want to say becomes an unending string of praise, respect, and trust, with so many words that I can't possibly sort them out to into intelligible sentences. Mark, I'll miss you. I'm glad I got to give you a good-bye hug after Ushi's on Friday. You were a tremendous inspiration, and you always will be.

What now? I think my sister Summer said something in passing, that "For a guy who claimed to be anti-social, he certainly had a lot of friends". Although Marks family is in New York, and planning a Quaker ceremony in January, I think it is important to have a local event here to gather his friends, and celebrate what Mark gave us. Mark gave us humor and friendship, and he shared that through music. I'll be working with others to help make an event to bring together all those that loved Mark.

I wasn't nearly as close to Mark as Gabe was but I remember talking to him on many occasions..whether it be parties are passing him on campus. He always intrigued me. I will miss you Mark.

Ali, I don't know Zac but all I can say is his words really do ring true. Not sure what I could possibly say or do to help you, but always know I'm kickin' around somewhere if you need someone to talk to or whatnot.
